Delete pack

Delete a CUSTOM pack. The rules, in order of safety:

  • a seeded reference pack is never deletable (403);
  • a pack is refused (409) while any rule it created is still live and enabled: deleting the bundle must never silently stop, or hide the origin of, a control that is enforcing right now. Disable or delete those rules first;
  • otherwise the pack and its (non-enforcing) templates are removed. Rules a pack already created are ordinary rules and are NOT touched (there is no link from a rule back to its pack), so a disabled rule survives the deletion. The deletion is ledgered (policy_pack.deleted); the ledger rows about the pack stay.
